Peter E. Lee, Ed.M.

Performance Consultant

Peter Lee, Ed.M., is a performance psychology consultant with more than 15 years of mental skills education experience.  He has trained athletes, coaches, military service members, executives, and medical professionals. Peter is responsible for multiple start-up mental skills training centers for sports and military.

Peter trained "tactical athletes" for the military including Wounded Warriors, Special Forces, Navy SEALs and Combat Units. At the Center For Enhanced Performance (CEP) at West Point, he helped found the first Army Center for Enhanced Performance (ACEP) and served as a Lead Peak Performance Trainer at Fort Bragg, NC, home of the 82nd Airborne and Special Forces before joining Walter Reed Army Medical Center as Site Manager and Performance Enhancement Specialist.

Peter joined the staff at the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) in July 2011.  He helped to further incorporate mental skills training as part of the integrated care model for service members with mild traumatic brain injury (MTBI) and psychological health (PH) conditionsIn addition to his work with Warriors in Transition, Peter taught resilience and performance to all medical personnel.

A long-time active member of the Association of Applied Sport Psychology (AASP), he has been a mental conditioning coach for both individual athletes and teams working with NCAA Division I athletics, elite junior athletes, and professionals across a wide range of sports. Peter is a graduate of the University of Vermont, a Division I tennis player, an honors graduate with an M.S. in Counseling and Sport Psychology at Boston University. He became the first Director of Mental Conditioning for the Manchester Athletic Club/Bollettieri Academy in Manchester, MA, also working with both the Tennis and Mental Conditioning departments at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. 

Peter has consulted with elite Navy SEALs for 4 years, diverse executives, numerous corporations, and professional sports organizations utilizing evidence-based mental skills training to achieve optimal performance.  His achievements and success derive from his strong interpersonal skills, his ability to inspire trust and to motivate individuals to achieve their goals.
